Prologue: Graphics and lag may vary on how new and fast your computer is. This is a non-biased review of the PC windows version of World of Warcraft. I will be referring to World of Warcraft as (WoW) throughout the review.
With an absence of monthly fees, stand-alone campaigns, and a unique skill system, the Guild Wars series is a notable departure from the norm for online RPGs. In fact, it departs with so many conventions it's difficult to pin the game down. Although the developers don't call it a MMORPG, it is often classified as such, and it does feel like one at times. So far they have released Prophecies (the original game), Factions, and Nightfall. This time you must save Elona from Warmarshel Varesh, who intends to awaken a long-forgotten god that will plunge the lands into an epic apocalypse.
After countless raids on Molten Core, Zul Gurub, and Ahn Qiraj, it's no surprise that some folks were growing tired of playing World of Warcraft at the level cap. Despite small content additions made to the game through patches, many people have several level 60 characters and there just wasn't much left to explore, with the possible exception of the game's most difficult instances. World of Warcraft has been nothing short of a sensation for last two years, but it was evident that fans were ready for a major expansion, and Blizzard has answered their call with The Burning Crusade.
